Our Nursery

We take pride in our nursery

We take pride in our nursery, we are Ofsted registered and licensed to look after fifty-nine children aged from birth to five years of age. To view our most recent Ofsted report click here.

Indoor and Outdoor Areas

Our nursery is a home away from home, set in a detached house with a large imaginative outdoor space in a quiet and leafy residential area but within easy access to Huddersfield, Brighouse and the M62 network. The facilities are located on two floors, read more about it below!

Under Twos

The under two’s have the ground floor all to themselves! We adopt the same approach with the younger children as we do with the two to four year olds, which is allowing the children the freedom to choose how they wish to play. This floor has all of the same exciting facilities as the over twos floor with sensory, reading and relaxation areas as well as sand and water and messy play.  We are also particularly proud of our small world, science and investigation areas too.

Over Twos

This floor is dedicated to children from two to four years of age and is filled with bright colours, toys, books, music and activities to keep the children stimulated and occupied all day long! We also have a messy play area, so our children can paint, draw and create to their heart’s content.

Part of our mission is to instil individuality and responsibility within the children, we do this through self-selection and independent choice, whereby the children pick and choose which area they wish to play and interact with.

At Bradley Bar we take our responsibility to prepare our pre-school children for the transition to primary school very seriously.

To achieve this objective we have the best possible ICT resources along with maths and literacy areas supported by our enthusiastic team who encourage and motivate the children to imaginatively use all the resources.

Outdoors

Come rain or shine, the children really maximise the use of our outdoor spaces. With fantastic play areas including slides and tunnels as well as dens and play houses, the children have hours of fun playing make believe, exploring the outdoor environment and interacting with their friends.

In the Spring and Summer the children help grow and care for a selection of fruit and vegetables which they then harvest for the cook to use in the nursery meals.
